Peoria Area Civic Chorale: How Can I Keep from Singing?

Join the Peoria Area Civic Chorale and Dr. Joshua Russell for their first spring concert series together!
How Can I Keep from Singing? will be presented May 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Five Points Washington.
The concert title of How Can I Keep from Singing? is our response to Dr. Joseph D. Henry’s final concert request from spring 2025 to Sing On! This uplifting, exciting and powerful program will feature songs about singing and will explore and celebrate the many reasons that we choose to sing.
The program will feature new arrangements and all-time favorite works ranging from classics to swing to spirituals and include “The Last Words of David,” “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “How Can I Keep from Singing?,“ “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square,” “The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing” and “Sing, Sing, Sing.”
Our Youth Chorus will sing nightly, a Children’s Festival Choir will perform on Friday and the Chesterton Academy Chamber Singers will perform on Saturday. A cake reception will follow both concerts.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for groups of 10 or more, $10 for students and children may get in free if tickets are purchased through our business office (309-693-6725).
