CURRENT OPENINGS

Join our team of Aquatic Instructors! Use your knowledge of exercise and translate that to the water to help our members improve their health and physical fitness!

Classes are offered Monday-Friday in the mornings and evenings. All classes are 45 minutes long. We have classes for every level of fitness.

 Experience

  • Must have experience as an aquatic instructor, fitness instructor, or be familiar with water classes and exercise
  • Experience with special populations and all age groups and fitness levels
  • Candidates must be available in the mornings during the week or the evenings consistently

 

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and assisting members with exercise routines
  • Demonstrating appropriate and safe exercises
  • Attending staff training programs and/or meetings

Qualifications

  • Must have Aquatic Training certification or a personal training certification
  • Previous experience as a personal trainer or aquatic/fitness instructor

  • Performing fitness assessments on clients and/or members and interpret results
  • Developing and assisting clients with exercise programs
  • Demonstrating appropriate and safe exercises

  • Trainers will schedule directly with clients and maintain your own schedule
  • Trainers will check clients into the computer and monitor their packages
  • Communicate with clients regularly

We are looking for a responsible and professional people to help watch over our aquatics center!

Lifeguards are key members of the team and are responsible for the safety of all our members and guests using one of our pools. The lifeguards also create a friendly and welcoming environment in our aquatics center! Must be willing to work at least 2 shifts per week and be available one weekend day.

Shifts include: Opening, morning, daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

Fitness Attendant

We are currently hiring for early morning and weekend fitness attendants.

Job Description:

Supervision of the fitness floor, maintaining the fitness floor by cleaning the equipment, weight room, and studio’s, helping members with equipment, and other jobs related to the fitness area.

Must be customer service oriented.

Reports to: Special Events Manager

Directly Supervises: In the absence of the Special Events Manager, The Event Lead during an event would supervise set up & tear down crew, clean-up crew, bartenders, security personnel  and be the Five Points host to the renter.

 

  1. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Special Events Manager, the Event Lead is responsible for facilitating and overseeing the weekend events and rentals.

 

  1. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  2. Opens and / or secures the facility.
  3. Sets up rooms in accordance with the layout provided by the Special Events Coordinator or ensures room is set up properly with appropriate spacing between tables, chairs etc. Must be able to lift, push or pull object up to 50 pounds using appropriate tools.
  4. Oversees all aspects of the event / rental to assure compliance with the contract.
  5. Performs light janitorial duties such as: sweeping, vacuuming, garbage removal, bathroom cleaning and set up and tear down of tables and chairs (when needed).
  6. Works with and provides direction to the set up & tear down crew, clean-up crew, bartenders, security personnel and caterers to assure customer satisfaction.
  7. Occasionally, sets up bar, provides bartending service and manages the cash drawer.
  8. Other activities and duties as assigned by the Special Events Manager.
  9. If an emergency occurs, the event lead is knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and takes lead of situation to ensure all event goers and staff are safe.
  10. Understands the policy and procedures of Five Points Washington and supplies great communication between supervisor, employees and guests.
  11. Will make every effort to provide an excellent event experience for guests.

 

III. RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

  3. Provides the Special Events Manager with a detailed account of how the event was executed and ways to improve all other events.
  4. Contact Special Events Manager during event if questions or serious issues arise.

  7. Provide direction and work with caterer to ensure that all food/drink is acceptable and served in a timely fashion.

 

  1. EXPERIENCE, SKILL AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  2. Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent).

 

  1. Must be 21 years of age and older

 

  1. 1-2 years’ event and/or management experience.

 

  1. Ability to work with minimal supervision and pay attention to details.

 

  1. Ability to provide leadership and work direction to all event staff and volunteer workers.

 

  1. Must demonstrate ability to coordinate, manage and perform job duties in a complete and organized manner.

 

  1. Ability to function in a busy environment with multiple distractions in a professional and positive manner.

 

  1. Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  1. Works and completes tasks for all event staff to assure customer satisfaction. This will include, but is not limited to, event check-in, restocking bar supplies, working with caterers/DJ’s and other outside groups utilizing the facility to ensure all procedures and policies are followed, etc.
  2. Other activities and duties as assigned by the Special Events Lead, Bartenders, or other special events staff.
  3. If an emergency occurs, the event lead is knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and takes lead of situation to ensure all event goers and staff are safe.
