Join our team of Aquatic Instructors! Use your knowledge of exercise and translate that to the water to help our members improve their health and physical fitness!

Classes are offered Monday-Friday in the mornings and evenings. All classes are 45 minutes long. We have classes for every level of fitness.


  • Must have experience as an aquatic instructor, fitness instructor, or be familiar with water classes and exercise
  • Experience with special populations and all age groups and fitness levels
  • Candidates must be available in the mornings during the week or the evenings consistently


Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Job Summary

Five Points Washington is a 133,000 sq/ft facility that houses a fitness center, family leisure and 8 lane competition pools, l,020 seat auditorium, banquet facility, meeting rooms, senior center, and library. As an essential member of the Five Points leadership team the Customer Service Manager will be responsible for front desk, shift leader, and custodial staff. This position will also be responsible for member contracts, forms, and daily z-out.

Summary of essential Job Functions

Under the supervision of the Assistant General Manager of Fitness, the Customer Service supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Supervision of front desk, shift lead, custodial and fitness attendant staff
  • Member contracts, freezes, cancellations and change forms.
  • Employee scheduling, training, mentoring, and motivation.
  • Employee correction of performance and discipline for front desk, shift lead, and custodial staff.
  • Ordering front desk/custodial supplies and monitoring inventory control
  • CSI program – w/recommendations for training
  • Checking and approving payroll in IPS
  • Assisting in interviewing, hiring and facilitate monthly meetings.
  • Preparation of facility for programs, meetings, and some events
  • Budget, preparation, and management
  • Perform all other job duties assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Coaching: finding ways of coaching, motivating, and improving skills is essential.
  • Computer Literacy: being comfortable using computers for basic office task such as writing memos, sending emails, scheduling, and payroll.
  • Collaboration: must work seamlessly with variety of staff.
  • Multitasking: ability to supervise multiply department, which mean you will need to prioritize task.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum qualifications include: 5 years of experience in like field & supervisory experience preferred. A degree in business, leadership or related field would be helpful, but not necessary.

Customer Service Specialist (Part-Time)

General Purpose:
Interact with members to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services.

-Process sales transactions through Aphelion POS computer system.
-Run computerized cash register and perform reconciliation at the end of shift.
-Answer phones and transfer to appropriate staff.
-Provide members with information on special events and process ticket sales.
-Provide assistance to other departments as required.
-Perform specific tasks as assigned by supervisor.

The Washington area Community Center is a 136,000 sq/ft facility that houses a fitness center, family leisure and 8 lane competition pools, 1,020 seat auditorium, banquet facility, meeting rooms, senior center, and library. The position of Part Time Maintenance will be responsible for daily equipment and building repair. Both interior and exterior.

Summary of essential job functions:
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Foreman of the Center, the Part time Maintenance will be responsible for:
•Performing daily facility cleaning and maintenance as assigned.
•Follow daily check lists.
•Operating standard mechanized equipment and power tools...
•Preparation of facility for programs, meetings, and rentals.
•Facility cleaning beyond what the custodial staff would clean. (Light fixtures, fans, ceiling vents, etc.)
•Fitness equipment cleaning and lubrication. •Grounds keeping. Mowing, trimming, pruning, cleaning, and planting.
•Follow all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed.
•Performing all other duties as assigned

Essential Functions:
The work requires physical exertion in handling supplies, equipment and materials that are relative to the services rendered. Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and twisting are required; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on each leg of a repetitive unloading and reloading process; activities involving risks which are typically associated with athletic, recreational and facility rental events; normal safety precautions typical of these areas of services are required. Exposure to power equipment, outdoors field equipment, implements and chemicals, indoor cleaning agents and solutions and various hand tools will be required.
