Girls with Goals: Machine Introduction

January 11 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join Five Points female personal trainers, after hours, in an instructional session on how to use workout equipment correctly. Our goal, during this instructional session, is to give girls the confidence and tools to know how to workout in the gym. We are lucky to have 4 female Personal Trainers on staff, who will run this session, and we want to show the younger generation of girls how to be active and strong.

Health and Nutrition Coach Kelsea Sollberger will also be there to answer any questions that the girls might have. They can ask about nutrition, sleeping, daily habits or anything else they would like to know a little more about.

Meet our Five Points Female Trainers

Tara

I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and earned my Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University. I have been a member of Five Points since the facility opened, and reside in Washington with my husband and two young sons.

I am passionate about helping women regain their strength and feel empowered through the consistent use of weight training. Combining this type of training with a balanced and healthy lifestyle will increase confidence and energy.

Ashley

I’m a certified Personal Trainer through American Council on Exercise(ACE). I grew up in a family that would go to the gym together. I have been working out since I can remember and have been in various sports like basketball, volleyball and softball. I went to school at Illinois Central College and Illinois State University.

Since 2019, I have become more interested in fitness. I personally love the feeling it gives me on the inside, which is then portrayed on the outside. Feeling confident in your own skin is a wonderful thing and I wish that feeling on everyone. I love learning more about fitness every day and using it as a tool to decompress after a long day. I enjoy using a variety of lifting and cardio in my workouts. My goals are to help you become confident on the inside and out, enjoy working out and become the best version of yourself.

Megan

I have obtained my Personal Training Certification through American Council on Exercise (ACE). I also have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in December 2020 from U of I Springfield.

I’m passionate about helping others improve their quality of life. I enjoy keeping others motivated and seeing them reach their goals.  My goal is to help others transform their lives by making health and wellness a priority thought life. I enjoy creating a positive and energetic atmosphere while being physically active.

Valerie

I acquired my Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Personal Fitness Trainer certification in 2019 and have had my AFAA Primary Group Exercise certification since 2013. I started my fitness career at a local community center in 2012 as a Body Training Systems (now MOSSA) Group Step instructor. Between 2012 and 2016, I obtained group exercise certifications in Silver Sneakers Classic and Circuit, Piloxing, Spinning, RIPPED, Zumba and Country Heat. For years I taught many of these classes on a consistent weekly basis.

As a busy wife and mother of seven, I am passionate about helping women and mothers of all ages to feel their best and achieve their goals. Drawing from over ten years of experience and multiple certifications in the fitness industry, I look forward to bringing you fun and challenging, yet appropriate, workouts that will help you to be in the best physical shape possible.

Meet Health and Nutrition Coach Kelsea Sollberger

With over a decade of experience as a Learning and Behavior Specialist, Kelsea Sollberger has dedicated her career to empowering others to reach their full potential. Her journey into the realm of health and wellness began when she embarked on her own transformative path.

While passionately teaching students about self-regulation and social awareness, Kelsea recognized that her own life was in need of a profound change. Struggling with managing her weight, forgetfulness, poor self-esteem, anxiety, and a sense of disconnection from her body, she realized that she needed to prioritize her own well-being.

In 2019, Kelsea made the decision to embark on a health journey that would change her life forever. Through dedication and perseverance, she discovered the profound sense of freedom that came with taking care of her body. This newfound passion ignited a desire to delve deeper into the realms of health and wellness.

In 2022, Kelsea solidified her commitment by obtaining her Nutritional Coaching Certification. Armed with a wealth of knowledge and practical experience, she is adept at navigating the often complex and overwhelming world of fitness, nutrition, and health.
