Youth Tumbling: Intro to Tumbling

Come learn the basics of tumbling with Greta Hudson! Greta is a former competitive gymnast from the Gym Corner. After completing her degree in Kinesiology and Health Science, she is excited to get back into teaching tumbling.

In this class, your child will learn new tumbling skills and work on improving the tumbling skills they already have. This class will not only be about tumbling, but building up strength. Whether your child has never tumbled before or has some skills, they will learn something new.

Please come dressed in moveable clothing! Shorts, t-shirts, leggings, or leotards. We prefer no shoes, but it’s fine if your child wants to wear tennis shoes that won’t fall off. The class will be held in our upstairs theater hallway. Parents will drop their children off and then we ask that you wait in the lobby or workout, so your child can get the most out of this class. Bathrooms are right next to this space as well.

This class runs November 7th, 14th, 21st (skipping November 28 and December 5), December 12th, and 19th for a total of 5 weeks.

Groups:

Ages 3-5 | 6:00-6:30 PM

Ages 6-9 | 6:45-7:30 PM

Maximum of 15 students per group, minimum of 7.

Meet our instructor, Greta!

I grew up here in Washington and attended Bradley University to earned a degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. I am now on staff with a youth ministry called Young Life, where I serve middle school and high school friends in Washington and across Central Illinois.

I started gymnastics when I was 3-years-old and went on to compete for 8 years at Gym Corner. I coached recreational gymnastics classes for 4 years in high school and I am excited to jump back in! I love working with kids of all ages and I am eager to share my passion for the sport!
