
Peoria Area Civic Chorale: Sing On!

Join the Peoria Area Civic Chorale as Dr. Joseph D. Henry encourages us to Sing On! In his last concert series as Artistic Director and Conductor, make sure to come out on May 2 & 3 at 7:30PM at Five Points Washington!
Repertoire will include songs such as “Heavenly Home: Three American Folk Hymns” arranged by Shawn Kirchner (“Unclouded Day,” “Angel Band,” and “Hallelujah”); “Music in the Air” arranged by Ryan Murphy; “Measure Me, Sky” by Elaine Hagenberg, a fresh, new setting of the famous folk song “Shenandoah,” arranged by Kevin Memley; “Walk Him Up the Stairs” from the 1970 Broadway musical Purlie; “I Love You/What a Wonderful World,” a two-song medley of well-known songs arranged by Craig Hella Johnson, the beloved 1926, feel-good song and jazz standard, “Bye, Bye Blackbird” arranged by Brandon Martell, an extended medley of Broadway standards from Broadway’s Golden Age, a rousing rendition of Katherine Lee Bates and Samuel A. Ward’s “America the Beautiful” and MUCH MORE!
The Peoria Area Civic Chorale Youth Chorus will perform each evening and a Children’s Festival Choir of local 4-6th graders will perform on Friday evening.

$25 for adults
$20 for groups of 10+
$10 for students
Children under 12 may get a free ticket if purchased via our box office or at the door
