Five Points Speaker Series – Two-Day Pen and Ink Class with Pixie Jacquin
Local Artist Pixie Jacquin is joining us for another Speaker Series! This time, she needs two-days to make sure your artwork is complete. Pixie will take you through an “Ink and Pen” class. You might remember this style of art, Pixie’s own Ink and Pen work was displayed on the Community Gallery Wall earlier this year. During your art lesson, Pixie will also discuss some art history to make sure you have a little background knowledge about Ink and Pen artwork.
As always, our Speaker Series events are free and open to the public, so bring your friends with!

Meet the Artist, Pixie Jacquin:
“I am an artist whose work is a blend of memory and imagination, captured in ink, acrylic and watercolor. My art reflects the facets of myself—the moments, the feelings and the thoughts I hold about the world around me. It is a snapshot of time, a personal reflection on people, animals, objects and the spaces we inhabit. I approach my work with seriousness and depth, constantly thinking and reflecting on the world. But I am also irreverent; I like to poke fun, to challenge conventions and to question what we take for granted. My work is my protest, a reminder that life is too short to paint anything other than what truly pleases me.”

Our Speaker Series is from 1-3 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month. Refreshments will be available and you do NOT have to be a Five Points member to come to our Speaker Series.
