Heartland Festival Orchestra presents: Video Games in Concert

This concert experience comes to us from the producers of “Video Games Live” – who have been playing to sold-out houses around the world since 2005. VGL is the first and most successful video game touring concert in the world, having performed over 500 shows in 42 countries on 5 continents. Since their debut over 2 million people have experienced the show live.
Our performance will be unlike any we have presented, as we play symphonic music synchronized with video clips from the video games. The progression of the games from the classics you may have played growing up to the power and scope of recent designs was based on the evolution of the technology – and is expressed in the music as well as the imagery. This immersive concert will delight classical music fans as well as gamers. There will be segments from Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Halo, Skyrim, God of War, Caltevania, The Last of Us, Uncharted, and more. Performed by the HFO with guest choirs from Illinois Central College under the direction of Julie Clemens – this will be a memorable evening!
