Certified Personal Trainer, Ashley Kersting, is excited to be offering a 5K training program at Five Points. She is looking forward to helping participants improve endurance, speed and proper form. These 30-minute meetings will help keep you accountable and focused on your end goal: completing a 5K. Participants will meet for 6-weeks and on the 7th week everyone will complete a 5K at Five Points!

 

These classes are open to all running levels and you don’t have to have any previous running experience to register. Complete beginners are always welcome! You also do not have to complete the full 5K on race day. We want you to achieve whatever goal you have set for yourself, if that is only half a 5K or three-quarters of a 5K, then we will work towards that goal.

Location:

Weather permitting outside Five Points, inside Five Points if the weather is bad.

 

Registration:

You must be 15-years or older to register. Your registration fee covers your 6-week class, entry into May 14’s 5K race and a 5K shirt. Minimum registration for this program is 4 participants and the maximum is 15.

Members: $70

Non-Members: $90

*If you would like to register for just the 5K race on May 14, you can register for $25 and that cost will cover your registration and a 5K shirt.

Meet Ashley Kersting:

Hi, my name is Ashley, and I’m a certified Personal Trainer through American Council on Exercise(ACE). I grew up in a family that would go to the gym together. I have been working out since I can remember and have been in various sports like basketball, volleyball and softball. I went to school at Illinois Central College and Illinois State University. Since 2019, I have become more interested in fitness. I personally love the feeling it gives me on the inside, which is then portrayed on the outside. Feeling confident in your own skin is a wonderful thing and I wish that feeling on everyone. I love learning more about fitness every day and using it as a tool to decompress after a long day. I enjoy using a variety of lifting and cardio in my workouts. My goals are to help you become confident on the inside and out, enjoy working out and become the best version of yourself.
