Empire Wild is a genre-bending, crossover trio founded by Brandon Ilaw, Mitch Lyon, and Ken Kubota. Ken and Mitch bring all the cello has to offer – bowed, plucked, chopped and more. Brandon can be found singing and playing anything he can get his hands on – often a cajon, sometimes a guitar or piano, even some ankle bells. This program, EW’s first collaboration with full orchestra, will include their original tunes and covers, plus arrangements of classics specially created for this concert.
