It is always wise to help children engage in proper eating and exercising habits. However, with childhood obesity on the rise, it is even more important to get your kids to the gym so they know how to best take care of their bodies. At Five Points Washington, we know the best way to keep children engaged in healthy activities is to make sure they are having fun. Exercise isn’t a chore when your mind is engaged. That’s why we strive to keep youth fitness activities interesting!

Youth Fitness Programs

Aquatics Fun and Fit Junior is a 30 minute class that creates a fun environment by combining exercise and games in the water so your child is sure to have a good time! This takes place in the competition pool on Sunday from 1-1:30 and Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:00 PM.

Kid’s On the Move is a 60 minute class that uses games and activities to not only get children moving but to teach them the importance of exercise. This class will focus on coordination, group exercises and other fun fitness activities which will help kids increase speed, flexibility, agility and structure. Free for members, $7 for non-members.

Kid’s Yoga this 30 minute class combines yoga, pilates, and tai chi. The class will not only improve your child’s strength and flexibility, but will also aid in mindfulness and relaxation by ending each class with a period of relaxation.
