DESCRIPTION:Intro to Tumbling with Greta\nApril 9-May 14\n\n\n\nAges 3-5: Thursdays\, 4:45-5:15 p.m.\nAges 6-9: Thursdays 5:30-6:15 p.m. \nPrice: $65 Members $70 Non-Members \n\n\n\n\nLocation: Upstairs Theater Hallway \n\n\n\nRegister HERE.\nThe class will be held in our upstairs theater hallway! Parents will drop their children off and then will wait in the lobby or workout. Bathrooms are right next to this space as well.  Please have your child dressed in moveable clothing! Shorts\, t-shirts or leotards. We prefer no shoes\, but it’s fine if your child wants to wear tennis shoes that won’t fall off. \n  \nIntroduce your child to the the basics of tumbling with Greta Hudson! Greta is a former competitive gymnast and after completing her degree in Kinesiology and Health Science\, she is excited to get back into teaching tumbling. In this class\, your child will learn new tumbling skills and work on improving the tumbling skills they already have. This class will not only be about tumbling\, but building up strength. Whether your child has never tumbled before or has some skills\, they will learn something new. \nSkills Learned: \n\nForward Rolls\nBackward Rolls\nHandstands\nCartwheels\nPlus more\n\n  \nRegister HERE.\n  \n \nMeet our instructor\, Greta!\nI grew up here in Washington and attended Bradley University to earn a degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. I am now on staff with a youth ministry called Young Life\, where I serve middle school and high school friends in Washington and across Central Illinois. \nI started gymnastics when I was 3-years-old and went on to compete for eight years. I coached recreational gymnastics classes for four years in high school and I am excited to jump back in! DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of Mah Jongg in this beginner-friendly class! We’ll cover tiles\, rules\, and simple strategies\, so you can confidently play and enjoy this classic game with friends. \nThe class will run every Wednesday night (April 15th-May 20th) from 6-8 PM in our Miller Room. \nCost: $85.00 per person. \nParticipants must be 18 years or older. \nAbout our Mah Jongg instructor: Dan Stanley began playing Mah Jongg in 2004 and has been teaching people to play ever since. A former professional opera singer\, he usually taught his fellow cast members – male and female – to play to help pass the time in between appearances on stage. He is currently employed by the Department of Continuing Education at Bradley University and has taught a Mah Jongg class for the past two years through the Bradley chapter of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). An “accidental collector” of Mah Jongg sets\, he has “accidentally” amassed a hoard of over two hundred sets over the last 24 years and appreciates the artistic merit of each and every one of them. \nWhat is Mah Jongg: This is a traditional Chinese tile game played by four players using a set of 144 tiles. The goal is to be the first to complete a winning hand\, usually made up of four sets and a pair\, by drawing and discarding tiles in a turn-based format. \n**Supplies are included**
