WHY HAVE A HEALTH COACH?

A health coach specializes in behavior change to help people implement diet and lifestyle goals.

A health coach helps you determine HOW to accomplish YOUR goals according to what works best for YOU.

A health coach offers ongoing support when you want or need to make changes for your health but don’t know how to start.

A health coach empowers you to make healthy choices by providing research-backed information on how to eat and live in a way that is in sync with our human biology and therefore allows us to thrive.

It is a person’s own motivations, strengths and core values that allow you to make the changes that you choose to do. A health coach helps you learn to tap into those and work out a plan to overcome obstacles that may have been a factor in the past.

When Are the Sessions?

Sessions are scheduled to fit the needs of the client.

What is the Cost?

Initial consultation is FREE!

After initial consultation the cost is:
Members: $40 per session
Non-Members: $60 persession

GROUP HEALTH COACHING

When Are the Sessions?

Sessions begin on Monday, October 5 and meets each Monday through December 21.

Two small groups with up to 12 participants each will meet for 90 minutes weekly.

The information presented at each meeting will be available after the meeting along as a resource. Support from Barb and the other members of your cohort in the form of a chat is also available throughout the program.

There are TWO options to participate in Group health coaching from October 5 to December 21:

1- In-person group meeting on Monday afternoons from 9 to 10:30 AM at Five Points where we will wear masks and practice social distancing.

2- Virtual group meeting via Zoom on Monday evenings from 7 to 8:30 PM. A computer or tablet with a camera is needed for the virtual meetings.

Barb will contact each participant before the start to answer any questions and ensure that you are comfortable with what to expect. If choosing the virtual option, you will practice with the technology if needed.

What is the Cost?

The 12 weeks of group health coaching is:
Members: $279
Non-Members: $330

If you need to miss a weekly meeting, a recording of the meeting and the resources will be provided.

There is a six-person minimum for the group to run, so please register in advance and invite someone you love!

You’ll be notified and your registration refunded if the minimum enrollment is not met 48 hours prior to the start.

Meet Our Health Coach BARB WOODS

ADAPT-FUNCTIONAL HEALTH COACH

Barb Woods has had in depth training in the ADAPT-Functional health coach program through the Kresser Institute. This is a National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching accredited program and is considered to be the most comprehensive health coach training program available today.

She has been taught to facilitate the development of personal wellness goals utilizing strategic planning, values clarification, brain-storming, motivational interviewing, accountability and non-judgmental coaching techniques.

Barb is also a cooking instructor and demonstrates tasty and healthy recipes in cooking classes at Lori’s Kitchen Store on the square in Washington. She specializes in developing delicious and nutritious whole food recipes with modifications for food sensitivities. She is very experienced with how to incorporate nutritionally dense foods into diets as a way to eliminate problem foods and in using natural whole foods that allow us to feel satisfied without feeling deprived or hungry.

Barb also can help with implementing an elimination diet for those who need it due to food sensitivities or auto-immune problems. She offers recipes, cooking tips and food swaps for the diet that fits a person’s individual needs.

Barb is someone who knows first-hand the huge improvement that changes to diet and lifestyle can make for well-being. She was able to reverse her own symptoms of asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, pre-diabetes, Hashimotos Thyroiditis and severe histamine reactions such as sneezing, watery eyes and skin rashes.
