DESCRIPTION:Come and learn how to play Pickleball with Joyce Hughes. Pickleball is a lively racket game for all ages and abilities. Pickleball was created with one thing in mind\, FUN! It was designed to be easy to learn and play whether you’re five\, eighty-five or somewhere in between. We offer both a beginner and intermediate class. Each four week class will teach proper grip\, how to keep score\, rules of the game\, stroke\, serve and etiquette.  \nAdult Intermediate Class requires knowledge of the game\, keeping score and different strokes. This class will work on strategy and court position. Drills and match play will also be introduced. \n  \n*Wear your workout clothes and court shoes. These are recreational\, full court games with 1 patched referee. SUMMARY:Five Points Speaker Series - Pictorial Journey of San Francisco's 1906 Earthquake with Rebecca Dailey
DESCRIPTION:Karolinn Schmidt O’Conner was in San Francisco at the time of the great quake of 1906. Her photographs of the devastation were discovered in the mid-1980’s in the bottom of an old trunk in the attic of her sister’s home in Peoria. \n\n\n\n  \n\nHer great niece\, Rebecca Dailey\, inherited these original photographs from her father. She used her photographic skills to restore them and did extensive research to assemble a historical journey from before and after the quake. She has presented her research and the collection at Illinois State University\, Butler University and a variety of community organizations in the area. \n\n  \nMeet Rebecca Dailey: \nRebecca Dailey received her Photographic Craftsman Degree in 1992 through the Professional Photographers of America. Through the years\, she has received various awards for print competition and several credits for speaking programs. \nShe has been a photo artist since 1965. Her career started with Burchett Studio in Peoria\, Illinois. The show will last 90 minutes and include a short intermission.\nTickets will be available at the door.\nConcessions and merchandise will be available for sale. \n  \nAbout Artrageous: \nArtrageous is a troupe of misfits artists\, singers\, dancers and musicians who started as friends doing street theatre in Vancouver. Together they started the “All and Everything Theater”\, a non-profit Children’s Theater focusing on Children’s Entertainment\, Street Theater and Life-sized Bunraku Puppetry. \nIn the late 80’s on Christmas Day\, their hand built theater building\, with all their props and puppets\, burnt to the ground. Instead of packing it in\, they created a new act; this troupe has performed for the likes of Sir Richard Branson\, Steve Forbes\, General Colin Powell… and in venues and events all over the world from India to Thailand\, Paris to Austria performing at over 2000+ events in their History. \nAs people who live and breathe the Arts\, Creativity\, Community\, and Inspiration\, they created Artrageous to pay tribute to their roots and share their passion with the world. A Show that focuses on all the things they believe in and everything that got them to this place. Art\, Music\, Theater\, Singing\, Dancing\, Audience Interaction…All on one stage. All done as a team of friends seeing the world and sharing a love of the Arts. \nImagine witnessing the creativity of an artist creating a masterpiece before your eyes in mere moments. Combined with captivating vocals\, intricate choreography and exciting music\, Artrageous takes you on a visual journey and a high energy ride of inspiration\, creativity\, and engagement. \nOur troupe of artists\, musicians\, singers and dancers pay tribute to a variety of art forms\, icons and musical genres throughout the evening.
