Class is open to absolute beginners\, second-time participants\, and those with outside previous experience. During her time as a professional dancer\, some of her favorite roles have included Balanchine’s Serenade\, Sugar Plum in the Nutcracker\, Ariella in The Little Mermaid\, Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty\, and Cosette in Les Misérables. She has a passion for teaching and performance and is excited to bring ballet classes to the Five Points community!

DESCRIPTION:In this class\, Candace will be teaching your child new tumbling skills and working on improving the tumbling skills they already have. This class will not only be about tumbling\, but building up strength. Whether your child has never tumbled before or has some skills\, they will learn something new. I am currently a Preschool teacher at Cornerstone Learning Center\, where I have been teaching for 6 years. I have coached for 4 years both tumbling and cheerleading\, I have also participated in Tumbling and Allstar competitive cheerleading for 15 years where I was a team that won 6 National titles. I am super passionate about children. Whether that is having the opportunity to teach them or coach them\, watching a child learn any type of new skill is an amazing experience. I hope over the course of this class I will get to know your child while also teaching them new tumbling skills.

Addi is a 6th grade student at WMS diagnosed with leukemia and is currently being treated through St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All proceeds will go towards helping Addi and her mom. \n  \nDon’t forget to enter-to-win a battery-operated lawnmower from Mathis Kelley. Run time: An hour & a half\, plus one intermission. \nFriday\, April 26 at 7PM \nSaturday\, April 27 at 12PM and 4PM \nMeet & greet after both performances on Saturday\, April 27. Children must be accompanied by an adult: $10/child. \n  \nTicketing begins March 18\, 2024 at 8AM. SUMMARY:YOUTH TUMBLING WITH CANDACE YORK
DESCRIPTION:In this class\, Candace will be teaching your child new tumbling skills and working on improving the tumbling skills they already have. This class will not only be about tumbling\, but building up strength. Whether your child has never tumbled before or has some skills\, they will learn something new. This is a 6 week tumbling course from April 25th-May 30th on Thursday evenings. \nGroups: \nAges 3-5 | 6:00-6:30 PM \nAges 6-9 | 6:45-7:30 PM \nMaximum of 20 students per group\, minimum of 10. \n  \nThe class will be held in our upstairs theater hallway! Parents will drop their children off and then we ask that you wait in the lobby or workout so your child can get the most out of this class. Bathrooms are right next to this space as well. \nWe ask that you dress them ready to move! Tees\, shorts\, leggings\, leotards\, we prefer no shoes\, but if you prefer your child wear shoes we ask that all tennis shoes are comfortable for the child and will not fall off. \n  \nPricing: $75.00 \nRegister HERE. \n  \nMeet the instructor\, Candace York! \nI was born and raised in Washington IL. I am currently a Preschool teacher at Cornerstone Learning Center\, where I have been teaching for 6 years. I have coached for 4 years both tumbling and cheerleading\, I have also participated in Tumbling and Allstar competitive cheerleading for 15 years where I was a team that won 6 National titles. I am super passionate about children. Whether that is having the opportunity to teach them or coach them\, watching a child learn any type of new skill is an amazing experience. I hope over the course of this class I will get to know your child while also teaching them new tumbling skills.
