I believe that combining circuit training with interval training is the best use of time for burning calories and achieving weight loss goals. It is also the most efficient way to achieve functional strength for everyday life and activities. I then personal trained for the YMCA in Nashville before coming home and getting involved with Five Points. I think that overall health should be a priority in everyone's lives and, along with a healthy diet, exercise should be a necessity. I love working with people to create efficient and enjoyable fitness sessions, while always keeping your goals in mind. Bachelor's Degree in from Iowa State University I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, giving me a good background in nutrition and systematic problem solving. Then during my own health turn-around, I experienced the incredible benefits to exercise: increased confidence, better mobility, generally feeling better day to day. I found myself advocating exercise and healthier habits to those around me, so pursuing a personal training career was an obvious step. I enjoy working with people at different stages of their fitness journey, whether they’re just starting out or are a seasoned veteran. I consider health to be far more than physical, so I like to incorporate different motivational techniques and relevant information to help people along. And with three young daughters, I’m particularly interested in helping young women develop strong body images and a healthy connection to exercise. |
