Chapter 6 is the only vocal
ensemble to win both the International Competition of Collegiate A
Cappella (2001) and the National Harmony Sweepstakes (2004).
They have appeared with the National Symphony Orchestra at the
Kennedy Center and received the A Cappella Community Award
(2006) for "Favorite Jazz Group." Chapter 6 tours the U.S., Canada, and
Asia, performing their family-friendly show featuring a blend of
pop/jazz harmonies and tongue-in-cheek lyrics/b> that bring
spontaneous bursts of applause and laughter. Their diverse repertoire of
American popular music ranges from Gershwin to Stevie Wonder, and
original songs range from comical to personal. Clever medleys entertain
music lovers of all ages. Their reputation has resulted in one of the
most diverse touring schedules in the music industry. The APCA's college
audiences named Chapter 6 "Entertainer of the Year" (2005). They have
performed theatrical pops programs with over ten major metropolitan
symphony orchestras in association with the Symphonic Pops Consortium.
The group's versatility and appeal knows no bounds, capturing audiences
of all ages and musical tastes.
